artistic statement...

This unapologetic artistic journey started as an outlet to understand, express and control deep-rooted daily defensive emotional reactions.‘Born from the depths of distraction therapy. I started my art as a sanctuary from the daily chaos of life and It has by far helped me live a more happy, healthy and positive way’.‘My art seeks to transcend the mundane and encapsulate real & raw emotion.

Let the waves of colour allow you to be moved into a deeper sense of energy that internally speaks volumes without words’.
Step into the world, where the canvas becomes a playground of unfiltered, limitless and judgment-free creativity.Im unique in the texture and palette choices and I believe my work evokes a strong balance, proportion and flow. Many pieces purposely go against the retrospective archaic rules.

A true ‘artbrute’*

‘I quickly discovered an unconventional artistic avenue by eschewing all brushes and using my technical hairdressing equipment and a vast array of kitchen and quirky home utensils as my instruments, Utilising their varied forms & textures on canvas’.‘By infusing my raw emotions and employing unconventional tools, I aim to polarise and evoke profound thoughts and feelings, using these unorthodox methods l orchestrate a combination of layers, textures and colours by blending opposing traditional artistic norms.,

Jean Dubuffet saw fine art as dominated by academic training, which he referred to as ‘art culturel’ or cultural art. For Dubuffet, art brut − which included graffiti, and the work of the mentally ill, prisoners, children, and primitive artists was the raw expression of a vision or emotions, untrammelled by convention. He attempted to incorporate these qualities into his own art, to which the term art brut is also sometimes applied…
